May 18, 2024 — Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, will become an automated process beginning 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight (Eastern) daily. However, an individual may not start filling out the I-9 until the form is electronically verified and submitted to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will be notified by e-mail with instructions within the first two business days about when the I-9 will be available to be filled out.
